MAJOR SERVICE

The Fortune Metal Group is more than just a “one-stop” recycling service provider. With an extensive network of affiliate facilities located both domestic and abroad, Fortune’s service footprint places it among the largest in the industry today. Catering to the specific recycling needs of a wide variety of industries such as product manufacturers, power and communication providers, end of life electronics, underground cable removal or just asset recovery in general, Fortune is well positioned, equipped and expertly staffed to provide the attention your company deserves.

Recycling means different things to different customers so Fortune provides services and reporting specific to each customer. We have the ability to establish partnerships with our clients at different levels to help our customers achieve their Corporate Goals.

While providing recycling solutions for our clients, we also place a high priority on concerns surrounding proprietary technology, data security and environmental responsibility. From material dismantling to data destruction, Fortune is committed to minimizing our customer’s environmental and technological risks.

At Fortune, we convert scrap into commodities which can be processed back into a variety of industries as feedstock for the fabrication of new and alternative products. Fortune has received numerous quality awards for its feedstock from US mills as well as Sustainability awards and Environmental Excellence awards from our telecommunications customers.

1. WIRE & CABLE RECYCLING

Wire and cable recycling is a large part of what Fortune does. Fortune not only processes these materials through sorting, baling and wire chopping, but also provides extensive reverse logistics services to our customers to collect “loose scrap” from Customer generation sites. In addition, for surplus/scrap wire on reels, Fortune is able to dereel and return the empty reels back to our customers. By working together, we are able to support our customers field operations by helping them maintain a reliable supply of reels for scrap removal.

2. NON-FERROUS METAL RECYCLING

As one of our core capabilities, Fortune recycles a wide variety of non-ferrous metals and alloys. We utilize handheld metal analyzers to determine the composition of non-standard materials to ensure proper valuations of materials. From small projects to large, Fortune is ready to help you.

3. UNDERGROUND CABLE REMOVAL

Fortune has conducted underground cable removal projects for our telecommunications customers as well as our power utility customers. Fortune began cable removal in 2006 as a pilot project for a utility customer as a proof of concept for removal of cable to free up conduit space instead of building new infrastructure. As a result of a successful and financially favorable pilot, Fortune was awarded a national contract for removal which we continue today.

4. POST-CONSUMER ELECTRONICS PROCESSING

Fortune is certified to the R2v3 standard for five of our facilities. We can provide EOL (End-Of-Life) tracking throughput for our customers focus materials. Downstreams are all vetted and approved prior to shipment to ensure consistency, security and accountability in the process.

For memory storage devices that our customers are concerned about data security, Fortune is able to provide data destruction with documentation. For those customers who may require tracking for electronics processing through the refining process, we are able to provide EOL documentation through our vetted domestic or international downstreams.

5. RAW MATERIAL PROCESSING AND REMANUFACTURING

As a company committed to the reuse of scrap materials, Fortune can process and produce furnace ready materials. We are currently developing copper wire and rod manufacturing to be able to produce new product back into the Supply Chain.
